Liposculpture ® Procedure

LipoSculpture ® is an effective, safe and affordable way of removing stubborn deposits of fat from many areas of the body, while dramatically reshaping areas, such as the abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, buttocks, "love handles", knees, arms, and the face and neck.

Length
Up to 2 hours or more, depending upon whether the procedure is small or large volume liposculpture. The type of surgical method employed and the number of areas treated will also affect the length of time for your procedure.

Side Effects
Temporary swelling, bruising, and soreness are potentially reduced when either ultrasonic-assisted liposculpture (UAL) or tumescent liposculpture is the utilized method. Drainage from the incision sites is a possible side effect of the tumescent method.

Recovery
Typically, normal activities may be resumed in 1 to 2 weeks. Strenuous activity should be avoided for 2 to 4 weeks. Patients should refrain from smoking during this time, in order to avoid a lengthy recovery period and ensure proper healing.

Risks
Potential complications include asymmetry of body contours, skin irregularities (“rippling” or “bagginess”), changes in skin pigment, fluid retention, or infection. Skin burns may occur when the UAL method is utilized.

Results
Targeted fat cells are permanently removed; however, diet and exercise are required to maintain optimal results.
